Superb fairywren (Malurus cyaneus)
Two wire sculpture blue wrens, perched on a small gum tree branch.
Fairywrens rarely sit still - a flicker of blue, and they're already gone.
They live in small family groups and rarely stray far from cover, moving low and fast through the undergrowth rather than in the open.
The base is rescued redgum and a preserved eucalypt branch.
